Welcome to Southampton Middle School

It’s a new school year here at Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) and what better way to welcome back our students and staff than to unveil our brand new webspace for the community. Our new webpage features the latest web platform to provide students, parents/guardians, and teachers with the best tools for success.

Our webpage isn’t the only thing new to HCPS this year! We welcome Dr. Sean Bulson as our new Superintendent. Follow his Entry Plan and be a part of the discussions where Dr. Bulson talks about the strengths and values of the school system while building a foundation for trusting and productive relationships.

Take a chance to explore our new webspace and come back regularly for news and updates!

Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year!

What's Happening

12th Annual Hoops Fundraiser
Benefiting Harford Family House

We are excited to raise money for a local organization such as the Harford Family House.  We have done an outstanding job helping the American Heart Association and are now looking forward to putting all of the money raised directly back into our local community!

Last year we raised over $15,000 for the American Heart Association!!!

The event kick-off will be held on January 11, 2018, during Physical Education classes in the lecture hall.  All students will be given an envelope with all pertinent information during their PE class that day.

If students raise at least $150 they will be invited to come and attend all 4 assemblies!!

The Student vs Faculty Basketball game will be Wednesday, February 20 at 6pm in the main gym.  During halftime the SOUTHAMPTON JAZZ BAND will be performing an amazing halftime show!

The finals will be held on Friday, February 22.  During the assemblies, qualifying students will shoot to be crowned their grade level champion and school champion.  Also at the finals, tops fundraisers will be notified of who wins the grand prize!

All money raised must be turned in by February 8 if you want a chance to participate in the 3 point shoot-out or basketball game.  Our goal this year is to raise $10,000

Southampton students from 8A are selling 4Ocean bracelets in the lobby during homeroom for $22 each.  The money raised

  • pulls one pound of plastic from the oceans
  • contributes $10 to environmental education at Southampton Middle School.
  • contributes $1 to a charity of your choosing, when you select a certain color bracelet.

Be sure to click on the link to the two-minute video of how the whole thing started, and check out how many pounds of plastic has been pulled from the oceans so far!
