Cast Member Information

Auditions

Wednesday December 7th 3pm – 6pm

You must have completed your Audition Form in order to audition.

You should bring the signed Cast Member Contract (see document container below) with you to auditions.

Prepare a song from the show:

  • Guide Vocal Tracks: On these recordings you can listen to someone singing the song.
  • Performance Tracks: This is the track that we will play for you to sing with during your audition.

You may also want to familiarize yourself with these possible Audition Sides.

Callbacks

Thursday December 8th 3pm-6pm

Some people may be asked to return for a callback on Thursday.

Please check your e-mail to see whether you are needed for a callback.

Casting

We plan to do our best to feature as many students as possible in as many ways as possible. In order to do this, we will most likely be double-casting roles (and possibly have two full, different casts).

Please respond to the e-mail that will be sent on Friday December 9th with the cast list. You will have to respond and accept your role in a timely manner to keep your role.

Materials

As soon as possible, you should wear/bring the shoes that you will wear in the show.

Always bring your script (these will be provided).

You should always bring pencils.

Bring lots of water and other small snacks if you need them.

All of those are at Southampton Middle School.

Tech Week and Performances are at C. Milton Wright High School.

Tech Week:

May 1st           3-8pm

May 3rd          3-6pm

May 4th          3-6pm

Practice at Home

Actors will need to practice at home to learn lines, songs, and choreography.

Conflicts

All conflicts listed on your audition form will be honored as excused absences from rehearsal. There should be no conflicts for May 1-6.

Any conflict that arises after casting is considered an unexcused absence from rehearsal. If you have more than two unplanned conflicts, we may have to move around roles.

If a conflict arises for May 1-6, you may be unable to perform.

Please remember that, when you are late to school or absent from school, you cannot participate in afterschool activities (including performances).

If an emergency does arise, please e-mail [email protected].

Being “no show” to a rehearsal is cause to lose a role immediately.

Eligibility to Participate

The administrative team of Southampton Middle School has the final decision about your eligibility to participate. If there are concerns about your attendance, grades, and/or behavior, they will have the final decision on how those items might affect your ability to remain in the production.

While at rehearsals, all school rules and behavior expectations are in effect. Any behavior issues at rehearsals could result in not being able to continue to participate in the production.
